Opening and Closing of Hearts

Words unveiled, love prevailed

By Patrick IfesemenPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In a realm of shyness, where hearts lie still,

There stood a young man named Xander, with a will.

Across the crowded room, his eyes will stray,

To Anita, a girl who stole his breath away.

Like a door of opportunity, she stood,

Radiating beauty, like no other could

But hesitation held him in its sway,

As fear whispered doubts, each passing day.

The opening of a door, a chance so near,

Xander's heart raced, yet his voice wouldn't clear.

He longed to reach out, to make his feelings known,

But his words hid like shadows, too scared to be shown.

Like a door left ajar, his heart remained,

As Anita's laughter filled the air, unrestrained.

He admired her grace, her smile so bright,

Yet hidden behind his silence, in the dimming light.

The closing of the door, a missed opportunity,

Xander's heart sank, weighed by insecurity.

Regret filled his thoughts, as doubts took their toll,

For he yearned to express his love, with all his soul.

But fate, a sly trickster would intervene,

When at a party, they find themselves in a scene.

A moment of courage sparked in his eyes,

As the door swung open, he could not disguise.

Words spilled forth, like sunlight through the haze,

Revealing the depths of his affection's blaze.

He spoke of admiration, of dreams untold,

And how her presence, inspired him to be bold.

With every word spoken, the door swung wide,

Revealing the blossoming of love, side by side.

Anita's eyes, like stars, sparkled in delight,

For she saw in Xander a compassionate knight.

And as the closing of the door turned near,

Anita's smile told him not to fear.

For in that moment, their hearts intertwined,

Embracing a love that destiny designed.
