One Year From Today

Last night I had a very real dream

An enchanting angel came to me

She said you will be in the world for one more year

All 365 days should be lived without fear

I will return for you one year from today

As I started to wake she slipped away

Now that I know when to expect the reaper

I embrace the pool of life and dive much deeper

I will keep the dream a secret, they won't understand

Why I was shown what death has planned

Wasted existence but now this is my chance

To choose life, to love, to laugh and to dance

Set free all the words I kept locked inside

Rescue the emotions I suppressed and denied

So clear now I have lived and feared in vain

I take back the power from my emotional pain

One year later and I have found inner peace

Tonight the angel comes for my souls release

It is my dying day and I am not even afraid

I find a friend in death, I have already been saved.
