One With The Earth

As It Should Be

I've become one with the dirt

I'm rooted deep in its soil

When I'm wounded or hurt

Its loving, healing unfurls

Feeding love through my veins

Cutting away what is spoiled

Till ameliorate remains

And I am once again, whole

Stretching out my branches

For the birds in the air

Other creatures find solace

And food and shelter to spare

A collective ménage of faces

Rest in the oneness we share

In our hearts leave the traces

As we live life well prepared

A collection of gifts

From one soul to another

Living as we were meant

Benefiting each other
