One Small Thought

A poem

The stars sing above me,

Cold lights of eternity,

And here I am on this globe,

One small thought,

But a breath in stillness,

How can it be?

The vast depths beyond,

Places I shall never see,

And yet I am conscious,

Delighting in the moment,

This gift of life,

So rare so precious,

Is all I have to spend,

Beneath the singing heavens,

Rejoice with me.

Absolutely inspiring, I will rejoice with you, it’s a miracle to be alive witnessing all this beauty. ‘One small thought, But a breath in stillness, How can it be?‘ This was my favourite line. I like the way it flows and I like the elements of humility and gratitude. Very well done, you’re very good at writing poetry.
