The glass half filled.
The drink runs sour.
The chair pulled back.
The eyes look on.
The music falters.
The shadows move.
The floor remembers.
The weight of steps.
The hand is borrowed.
The lips are cold.
The bed is waiting.
The night is short.
One night only.
The flame is gone.
One night only.

My Letter to the Moon I have always wondered if it was true. Did the cow really jump over you? When I was little, I believed everything the nursery rhymes told me. The cat played the fiddle. The dish ran away with the spoon. The moon smiled as the cow leapt across the sky. I never doubted it. In my dreams, it was all real.

My New Book is Finally Here
My poetry collection Beautiful and Brutal Things is done. It's actually done and finally published over 270 pages. Over a year of my life went into this book. More than a year, really. Long days at my computer, sometimes seven days a week because I couldn't stop even when I probably should have. Then two months of editing that felt harder than the writing itself. But it's finished, and I'm still standing, and the book is real.

You make it sound appealing, not a night of passion with no commitment. In reality, it is harder than it seems, maybe that's why I have never taken anyone up on it., but there is always a first time, I guess. 😄😄
In this day and age not a good thing to do for real. Good job.
