Quantum Consciousness does not exist,
Any more than higher “things”,
We’d rather believe in faith than fact,
Despite the cold comfort it brings.
The Dark Age of Religion,
Should, by now, be overthrown;
Supernatural things of childhood,
Should be something we’ve outgrown.
Whatever happens from your birth,
No matter the sorrow and strife,
The important thing to remember is:
You won your race for life.
You are so lucky to be reading this,
To be breathing Earth’s sweet air,
Considering those that will never be:
To live is extremely rare.
Because the odds of being born at all,
Are too high for calculating;
When you consider just the permutations,
Of ancestors’ meeting and mating.
Forget thoughts of what comes next,
The grave is our last bed,
Growing old, our only reward,
After the life just led.
This is why memories are so important,
Make sure you have a stack;
As the only thing to look forward to,
Will involve you looking back.
So take your life in both your hands,
And ride it without fear,
So that everyone you leave behind,
Will know “such-and-such” was here!

I'm supposed to give you a compelling reason to read more from me, but the truth is my life is not exciting at all. The exact opposite. You don't want to hear that I have a beautiful wife and two amazing sons. Or that I'm a failed assassin.
