I’ll meet you there,

under the setting sun,

where fiery splashes of light

melt into shades of deep purple -

day and night are blurred.

- - - - -

I’ll meet you there

in the place swallows

and dragonflies dance

to the tempo of Mother Nature's

hidden, yet irresistible cries.

- - - - -

I’ll meet you where

they weave in and out

and around,

graze and escape,

fall into and away from each other.

- - - - -

I’ll meet you where

the most magically macabre

tango takes place -

unrehearsed and skillful,

set against the tapestry of twilight.

- - - - -

The finale? Frenzied flight will leave

only one fluttering and full beast.

Promise you’ll meet me there.

You be the swallow.

I’ll be the dragonfly.
