One Day Here
In Memory of Robin Williamson
One day here and gone the next,
like moonlight on the horizon,
foamy waves across the sand,
or seashells just below the surface.
Fade like amber sunsets
hues of greys and indigo night
that snuff out the light of day.
-
One day here, but gone the next,
like a roll of thunder among the clouds
and summer's teardrops from the sky.
Flutter like robins' wings,
and rise like pastel mornings,
vivid crystal blue that gives new hope.
-
One day it's here, but gone the next...
the breath of angels on our neck.
Like the kiss of April's breeze
and petals fall like snow;
fleeting moments in time
that give this lifetime meaning.
One day we're here...

In memory, I can relate to that. One day he left our house and he never returned. -- Murdered. Nicely constructed poem.
