Once Upon a Future Valentine’s
a love poem
When I think of you,
I think
of sunrise—of all the light
you’ll ferry to
✨my eyes.✨
I think
of cuddles—baby’s breath,
and lullabies—of
peek-a-boo and
kisses (soft)
like butterflies...
your little feet—tip-toeing .:puddles:.—(and)
sweet, sweet,
goodnights.🌙
I think
of you and I—decorating
heart-shaped cupcakes {once upon}
a future Valentine’s.

A Failed Artist, A Disillusioned Poet, An Underpaid Game Show Host
I took my son and niece to Gori, a small town in Georgia where Joseph Stalin was born. They talked me into visiting the Stalin's Museum, the largest in the post-Soviet space. I had resisted going there because I just can't stand the monster and know enough about him, or so I thought.

Darn, right when I thought I've escaped the clutches of baby fever, Your poem incites the nostalgia I've had of cuddling a baby cousin or two, their sweet breath evokes memories as they lay upon my chest. These memories I do trace, like the lines of my sweater that embed onto their cute, drooling, chubby face.
