An Exploration

warm words

linger like honey

on the tip of my tongue

but yours are

creamy-rich

indulgent

so much deeper than the lean

a masterpiece

hypnotic

weaving wonders with every word

but beware

such words can knit emotions from thin air

and drown you with them

love songs and sad poetry

leave behind the bittersweet

and salt burns behind the spice of sarcasm

envious and tearful

scared and trembling like

a tenor's tender timbre

or the rock-candy crystal of a soprano

every voice a flavor in the meld

a recipe apart

and each a meal worthy of sharing

over a story and a song

slam poetry

About the Creator

Maia Gadwall the metAlchemist

I fell in love with speculative fiction and poetry many years ago, but I have precious little time to write any. Then, I went crazy and started a cult called metAlchemy, or meta alchemy. I revere energy of all brands, esp. good, kind chaos.
