On the Shoulders of Mighty Men
Faith from the rhythm of His faithfulness
I am standing on the shoulders of the faith of mighty men,
Those who stood their ground for over 2000 years.
My faith is an ancient one; for God is the Ancient of Days.
I look around at my life, the cycle of everyday life.
Some call it monotony, I call it rhythm.
A rhythm that has sustained me all my life;
The beat that produces its sound by the faithfulness of God.
His Story renews my history; His Story guides my future.
In the One Whom past, present, and future are held,
I offer my life to Him on a silver platter.
I offer my life to Him as a living sacrifice.
Indeed, He is the Potter, and I am His clay.
He molds me into a more perfect reflection of His Image.
And one day, as I become who He’s making, a mighty woman of valor,
Someone else will borrow my shoulders.
For the Lord will always have a remnant, those who hold on to His Word.
And when Jesus returns, He will find faith on Earth.
