Warning Song

On the edge of the clearing, beyond the reach of the woods

When the crow’s sound their warnings, and you freeze where you stood

That’s when you know, that you’ve traveled too far, when the darkness envelopes and shadows your heart

Their call is a warning, there is no going back, you may cry for the morning, but it has surrendered to black

The song is a memory, a passage to the past, a foreshadowing melody, of a want, that won’t last

So, say your goodbyes and then calmly surrender, there is no reason to fight, for the stillness will render.

The song that it sings, of the night and it’s treasures.

The caw of the night, very good kelli 😊

  • Incredible Job 📝❤️❗

  • "The Raven" of Poe meets "The Forest" of Aokigahara, Japan. Or perhaps it's "The Raven" meets Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream". Nightmare or paradise? Or perhaps simply surreal.
