On relentlessness: A poem

How do you not listen to the voice in your head in times of pain and self-doubt? The times that you are certain that if you were ever able to feel anything at all, even just a little, it is in those very moments. Do not live in these moments, do not dwell on the voice in your head, for these moments are temporary and that voice is relentless, and if you decide to stay awhile, do not lose yourself along the way. These moments, that voice, let them be the light, now they are lighter, lighter, they are light as a feather. Deep breath in, out, and relax.
