In the Violet
Sunrise colors stir memories of summers past
Delicate dresses and pink, sugary bits of cotton candy
Goldfish prizes and tangy, orange creamsicles
Wisteria vines
and God
in the violet.
Meditating earlier,
I wondered if it's true that you can hear the sunrise;
feel the entirety of the universe in one sacred vibration.
A resonance beyond comparison,
beyond comprehension.
I hope it's true; how I long to hear it.
I imagine it's how your voice will sound the first time you exhale my name.
