Oh Scientists of Old

A Poem

By Finola bozlarPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Oh scientists of old, with curious minds,

Your legacy lives on through centuries of time.

Your tireless work and boundless intellect,

Have paved the way for discoveries, correct.

//

With beakers, books, and telescopes in hand,

You sought to understand the mysteries of land.

You studied stars that danced across the sky,

And probed the depths of oceans, rivers wide.

//

You labored on, with theories and hypotheses,

And used experiments to prove or dismiss,

Your work was oftentimes tedious, but bold,

For science is a quest that must be told.

//

And so, to you, we raise our glasses high,

And thank you for the wisdom you supply.

Your influence will continue, of that be sure,

For each new finding opens up a cure.

//

Here's a sonnet to the scientists bold,

Who paved the way for knowledge young and old.

Their names will live on, their work extolled,

For they were the ones who broke the mold.
