OFFICE ROMANCE: IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE...✍🏾

When we talk about romantic relationships in the workplace, we refer to such intimacy between coworkers of opposite sexes, involving a strong emotional attachment and/or love.

An office setting is an official environment where business activities are expected to take place. But in a situation where you fall in love with a coworker and a relationship evolves, you must ensure that the office policies are conformed to.

Since an office environment isn't intended for love relationships, if you meet your God ordained spouse there, you must be deliberate not to allow emotion or feelings get in the way of your commitment to work. The temptation is to always want to be in the company of your partner, playing love birds, while there are works left unattended to. This doesn't speak well of you as a believer. Meet with your partner at break times and do your work at the proper time.

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God"-1 Corinthians 10:31‭-‬32 (KJV)

As a believer whatever you do should be to the glory of God. If you are in a relationship in the office, ensure that no offence is caused anyone by it and neither should you do anything that would bring dishonor to His name.

Never date for fling in the office. You are a Christian! Dating your married boss or colleague doesn't speak well of who you represent. It is quite common to develop emotions for someone you work closely with for most part of every day, even if the person is married. You must therefore be cautious. To keep off such relationships; set boundaries, stay official and be firm in your decisions.

If you are in a serious love relationship with a single person like you in your office; ensure you do not mix feelings with your official duty. Don't stop relating cordially with other coworkers even if the single person you are in a relationship with is the boss. Don't let emotions override your sense of judgment. Make decisions that will glorify God.
