Of Gnomes and Toadstools

A Poem

There once were two gnomes

Who liked to hang out at a toadstool

One was named Jerome

The other one’s name was Mick McCool

Both had wives at home

They were so uncool

So, the guys liked to roam

Around the Mirror Pool

They would drink the foam

That made them feel cool

Forgetting to use their comb

Wishing they didn’t drool

As they sat under a dome

And carved with a tool

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
