Ode to some trash left behind by the previous guest of my hotel room.
At least I got a poem out of it...

Some love is not
lost it is left behind
abandoned by choice
like a
single red rose
trapped between
glass and gauze
hidden behind
thin hotel curtains
left behind
on a window sill
until the next guest notices
decaying petals
takes pity
throws it away wondering
who left it
behind?

Aww the poor rose! At least it was a flower which is beautiful and not something disgusting! Great job.
Oh this was so sad! Did they come back for it!
At least is right! and what more perfectly in the spirit of the challenge? strangely haunting and romantic. So many questions to be overthought.
