Wiser than me in this wild world
Her power and confidence unfurled
Navigating through with all the uncertainties
Resilience she shows to all the adversities
Harsh words and sharper tongue
Oh but she can be so much fun
Strong willed like our mom
Sprinkled with sarcasm like our pop
Seasoned as the time flows
Smart she is with all she knows
Speaks her mind with conviction
Knowing her words may cause friction
Courageous as a honey badger
Talks the talk with all the swagger
Aside from all this honorable chatter
She is my sister and that is all that matters
Even if there is a bit of strife
I wouldn't change a thing on my life

The chipped stone slope caused unbearable footing. I slid, skirting on my heels. I cast my shield, relinquishing my guard to stay upright. Left with my double-edge and a prayer to the maker, I skated toward my objective. The earthly stubble gave way to solid ground. I found myself restored, a trail of dust in my wake.
