Ode to love!

Love, it hurts, it heals,

I heard it all before,

"it's a battlefield!" "it's peace." and "Love is war!"

But if you don't experience it, how do you tell?

and yet, love has other meanings as well,

Eros for a lover, philos for a brother,

it can be in the form of love for your father or mother,

So many ways and words, so what is love but infinite in definition and form?

especially the agape love of Christ, the first blessed Christmas morn?

And if He, then, is the definition of love itself,

what endless revelations this creates,

because if love is as He is,

then infinite love awaits.
