A turbulent love

The light in his eyes makes me look to my heart.

I fear what he’ll find will tear us apart.

The peace in his voice fills my heart with a calm,

That scares me to death since it lies in his palm.

Through life and through death, I’ll stand by his side,

For when I’m with him my heart fills with pride.

Whether for always or for days he desires my love,

For his gentle presence, I thank God above.

Swiftly and surely, no warning did sound.

I fell in his eyes, beginning to drown.

If this is my death, truly the end,

I’ll gladly die in his arms, my lover and friend.
