Obscurity

A working concept

By Calamity and CalmPublished 6 years ago 1 min read
A photo taken at the PAMM, Miami

"I will send you away with the tip of my hat,"

said the man who smiled for me once.

I leaned in to hear why he said that,

But in an instant it he left me in tears.

I turned to see the eyes so old

They'd seen a thousand suns,

But when I looked back and found him again

He'd vanished into the dust he once was.

From ashes to ashes and dust to dust,

we walk from place to place.

Hoping we make it as long as we see our loved one's face.

But as night draws near and we begin to close our eyes

the light begins to fade but nothing truly dies.

Our energies are stable, they start to feel so calm

just like I did when my mysterious man

had vanished from my palms.

About the Creator

Calamity and Calm

more than just words on a page, but feelings that I can no longer keep enclosed in the vicinity of my heart or mind.
