O Time, Be Still
For the sweetest of moments happen when the Earth lies quiet
By JB InglandPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

A dewy morning sky
Gives way to fresh birdsong
Crisp air fills awakened lungs
Boots stuffed with fuzzy socks
Long knit sweaters
Cover soft leggings
Warm spiced coffee satiates
A cool mouth
Crunchy leaves create music
On long walks
Pumpkins decorate bright porches
A brisk breeze
Flows through brown hair
Colorful fronds fall
Like gentle rain
Splashing on grey paths
Filling the land
With vibrant hues
Green eyes travel
Surveying the beauty
Of utter tranquility
A sigh escapes
As a smile curls
On red lips
For a brief moment
Time is calm
All is still
I am content
It is Autumn
