The truth within me

I use to look at myself all I could see

Was a stranger, someone not me

But now…

I see myself in the birds

Flying freely, knowing no bounds of a cage

I see myself in the wolf

One of a pack, a work ethic unmatched

I see myself in the lion

Proudly walking upon the ground that is my home

I see myself in the trees

Blooming with color and life in the spring

I see myself in the mountains

Standing tall and firm, unwavering in its stance

I see myself in the rain

Watering, nurturing the life I touch

I see myself in the rivers

Constantly moving, flowing with the currents

I see myself in the moon

Shining brightly in the midst of darkness

Finally, now I see

I am one with all that be

Authentically me
