NOTHINGNESS

Neurological Lyme Disease

By Dawn MazzettaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Mazzetta, 2016

Thoughts incarcerate your being and spirit... endless thoughts of negativity flowing through your brain... paralyzing your mind... dimming your wit.

They allow you to be seduced and fall into an abyss of nothingness so gripping you are blinded by light.

You are a captive of your own darkness; no voice to scream for help. No will to fight to break free.

Life becomes surreal if you have the ability to observe what IS. Realizing you have no control over the events occurring rapidly around you, the decision making part of your brain no longer chooses.

Laughter becomes a luxury as your personality becomes null and void. You are fully numb and emotionless.

The magical mind has swept you away in its serotonin and dopamine; yet, has removed the "ecstasy" from what should feel like pleasure.

The pain engulfs you and supports you.

You rely on the pain to stand...it holds you up as it sucks the energy from your body. What was once a beacon of light has transformed into a sort of dark dysfunctional stability you can lean on.

The thoughts are the only life left, and they slowly suffocate you until your voice shakes, your body is weakened, and you surrender to the pleasure of pitch darkness.

The thoughts become your identity. Your identity is nothingness.

And you wonder...how did this happen?
