Mother Combs' 6W6L "November Rain" Challenge
Inside the empty Brobdingnagian hose, dreams
lay dying as drowned canopy down.
A wee fireman plucks what’s left,
the watery serpent drained away, below;
Autumn’s arson was arrested yellow. There
glow nothing-splashes of a new November.

If autumn leaves of red, orange, and yellow could be imagined to be a fire-breathing dragon, then this little boy was hoping to fight that beast with a ginormous yellow fire hose. But the street had a drain, and the rain came first, making his hose remain empty in all the wet with not even a puddle to splash in.
