I'll never forget the way he looked at me,

There I was thinking, how can this be?

Said hey with a smile and a handshake,

For my birthday gave me a cupcake,

He was my best friend.

We knew each other for years,

All I have left is tears,

He used to help me with my fears,

Kept me calm and kept me cool,

Hung out at my locker when we were at school,

Hung out at church and went to shows,

Not seeing him anymore blows,

Wish I could forget the way he looked at me,

I guess what I'm thinking is we're not meant to be.
