Nostalgic Recollection

I heard a song today and I immediately thought of you.

I closed my eyes and I swear I was there again.

I'd heard this song for the first time that day.

What a beautiful song.

I remember listening to the words and how beautifully

The music made them come to life...

Life, such a curious thing.

The music made the words come to life for me that day

While cancer finally took life from you.

I heard a song today and I immediately thought of you.

I closed my eyes and I swear... I don't ever want to go there again.

Although, the song still captivates me now the way it did that day,

The memory attached grieves me so that I never want to hear it again.
