No Toss— In Chaos?

I have some anger issues, we all do.

By Maryam BatoolPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I have some mild anger issues

When I cry don't you dare offer me a tissue!

I grit my teeth when I am flushed

Don't try to make me laugh or blush

I scream inside as I share a room

No privacy bro!— Not even for 'gloom'

No makeup toss! No breakage or loss

I can't smash 'em in anger; It's the middle-class chaos

Is my house built odd—Or the sky's too small

Why can't I let a scream out of my heart?

I am nice but sometimes I'm bitter too; I'm not a fool

I'm bad when I'm angry—I'm a human, not a tool

Love and Life are crucial you see

"Anger is a part", it's the opposite of glee

But I think letting it out is the way

Piling in; inside — It ain't a good stay

What so ever! I have anger issues

I'll cool down fast; So, don't offer me a tissue

Author's note;

Hey, I'm not angry rn. But I wrote this one when I was gritting my teeth— I can't shout; like they do in movies. I share my room. lol

Oh I feel this a lot. Sometimes the anger is burning so hot, that even a drop of a pin can set it off. This was a very original piece, I like that I could sense your irritation, but you still held the poem to its rhyme and rhythm 👌🏽👏🏽🤗♥️

I was almost frightened at how true and relatable that was...😅🫣 You did a great job capturing the different stages of anger, going from rage to bitterness. My favourite lines were: "But I think letting it out is the way - Piling in; inside — It ain't a good stay" Beautifully done😊 Good job Maryam!💕✨

It's refreshing to see such candid expression. Remember, acknowledging your feelings is a vital first step. Everyone has their own ways to cope, and finding healthy outlets is key. If writing helps you channel your emotions, keep at it. Have you tried mindfulness or physical activities to help manage those intense moments? Sometimes, a bit of movement or meditation can work wonders

  • Gosh I have very bad anger issues and this was soooo relatable. I'm so glad you were able to channel your anger into writing this. I hope it helped you feel better. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️

Wow, your creativity I! Salutesive! It’s incredible how you can write poetry even when you're feeling angry. I love that! 😄 It seems like your anger brings out some great ideas, even if it feels intense sometimes—grinding your teeth and all! Haha! But seriously, your poem is fantastic; you did such a wonderful job! When I get angry, I usually just end up shouting 😀

This was very relatable, Maryam, and I think many of us feel that way. That's what makes writing so great - we can express ourselves that way, instead of attacking people or shouting at them! Loved it...the blend of humour, the "middle class chaos" phrase made me laugh and really related to the darker angsty side of it all. Awesome job, really!

Ohh! This is such a raw and relatable take on anger! 💀 You’ve nailed the middle-class chaos and the frustration of bottling it all up. That mix of humor with real emotion makes it so authentic. And the “don’t offer me a tissue” bit? Absolute mood—perfectly sums up those moments when you just want to feel without being pacified. 🤧 Loved it!💖
