No, I don't need intervention,

Only peace inside my mind.

Interrupt the ill intent

Send the winds of Aeolus,

End the reign of constant dread.

~

Needless sound feels like pins and needles,

Offerings of my solitude.

In return, given to me, your favor,

Servant of the endless blues.

Everyone learns to dance in tune.

~

Nervous laughter fills empty space.

Open mouth and only air.

Inconsistent and out of place.

Screeching halt alerts to the outsider

Easily, it seems to come so easily.

~

Numbness pierces the flesh,

Overtakes the mind,

Inserts itself into the plot,

Sits itself at the head of the table,

Encompasses everything. Encompasses everything. Encompasses everything.

~

Never quite learning lessons;

On the chin, or over the head,

In the bush, or in the basket,

Sit and wait, or stand and fight,

Enough is enough, or just a bit longer.

~

Soon doesn't come soon enough,

On time and still late.

~

Moving hastily in a cloud

Under false pretenses

Can't be the only one in need of

Humbling, humanity, honesty and honestly a little...

~

Nevermind.

Outstretched hand recoils in pain.

It is easy to forget the pot,

So instead remember the flames.

Endure the discomfort, just a bit longer.
