No One Will Catch You If You Jump

Stop, think, and decide what comes next

No One Will Catch You If You Jump

No one will catch you if you jump,

The sky does not grow hands,

Faith watches quietly from above,

While gravity makes its plans.

I stood beside you trembling,

Pretending belief was enough,

Love whispered lies into my ear,

And called courage tough.

The edge looked honest at midnight,

More honest than any prayer,

The fall promised clarity,

The ground promised care.

I begged the dark to soften,

It only widened its mouth,

Spiritual lessons taste bitter,

When learned without a south.

You jumped without ceremony,

No angels cleared the way,

The silence screamed louder than sound,

And refused to look away.

I learned how empty hope can be,

When it relies on air,

Love does not stop a falling soul,

It only watches and stares.

No one caught what was breaking,

No miracle showed its face,

Only the echo of your name,

Still falling through space.

Now I stand far from edges,

Still shaking when I breathe,

Knowing faith does not save us,

It only teaches how to grieve.
