No matter

the art of happiness

No matter where he went,

Always content,

He'd find a stone to throw,

or a puddle to jump,

or a flower to smell, never one to mope.

He was the sunshine on the grey days,

the rain on the too-hot-to-think days,

the cosy hug when you got home from work,

the morning smile and coffee,

He was all we should aspire to be,

content, free but most of all: happy as can be.

Happy for the calm,

happy for the lull of life,

happy for all the moments he got to share, in each mundane aspect,

Looking on the bright side, always sunny side up,

he was the star in the night sky,

no matter where he went,

always content.
