A spark that leaps from land to sky,
You chase the truth, you never lie.
Unless to dodge a boring fate
Then bend the tale and shift the weight.
You roam in boots, in dreams, in thought
You seek the lesson never taught.
You need the open, hate the trap
Prefer the stars to safety’s map.
You speak too fast, you laugh too loud,
You stand too tall, you draw a crowd.
But still your fire is rarely mean
Just wild, alive, and rarely clean.
You are the myth, the laugh, the flight
A comet daring wrong from right.
About the Creator
E. C. Mira
I’m a poet at heart, always chasing the quiet moments and turning them into words. Most of what I write is poetry, but every now and then inspiration pulls me in new directions.
