no longer lost midsummer last.
summer moments remembered in winter

always hallways —
— opportunities knock
then —
— no longer lost midsummer last —
— now
‘twas all the horses’ birthdays —
— here & there
when dead o’ winter —
— hemis-fear the worst
memories o’ warmth beckons —
— ice in air
shivering begets more sunshine —
—l isten
no storm —
just birds —
no cold —
— just another shout
roast in the season’s sunshine —
— & glisten
now cold days indoors —
— then loud nights up, out
that time i danced & you danced too —
— shirts, skirts
drunken conversations with stomachs full
that time you kissed me then i missed you
— des(s)erts
averted gaze —
— endless daze —
— those days still
linger — longer — i dream of summertime
than any other season — no reason
other than sunburn — bittersweet, sublime
rather be peelin’ skin than frostbitten
bya fire now warm — bonfire, then dance, sing
went there alone — now alone together
moonlit water before us — summernight
we slept — hot coffee — the mo(u)rning after
oh yeah —
alright —
okay then —
— that happened
did it —
did we —
d'you —
done there —
— c’mere
frozen now — too cold to continue, hear
gone summer nights —
everlasting moments —
winters day o’ ice —
midsummer nights dreamt
older, colder, alone — dead o’ winter
rather then, when you were there — sun shone days
d’you remember — the night we had love
since summertime — still i burn your flame
cold season, must be the reason —
— miss you .
