The one thing know-it-alls need to know

Is what they don't

The one thing smartasses need to realize

Is another's reality

The one thing the foolish need to do

Is know the lesson learned

The one thing I need to do

Is give up on you

The one thing you need to see

Is why I tried again

This poem's strength comes from its honest and frank portrayal of the essence of empathy and the challenging nature of human connection.

This excellent poem is clear, concise and as painful to read as it is evocative of real empathy and solidarity.
