What to Do When It’s Not Enough

Passionate words

land on empty surfaces.

We hold on to what’s left—

but why,

if the other side offers nothing?

Helplessness

and bad intentions

don’t mix—

they come from different places.

So demand more—

but protect your character.

Only ask for what you’re willing to give.

Don’t expect what you won’t return.

Love isn’t enough.

You have to learn how to hold it—

not just in joy,

but in silence.

How to carry it,

how to stay with it

when it gets heavy.

Effort is a quiet virtue—

untaught, but always noticed

when it’s missing.

It slips through the fingers of many,

letting feelings fade

before they’re ever fully held.

Control you—

because that’s all you truly can.

Fighting your own pain

hurts just as much

as hurting them—

so what’s the point?

Quitting feels like failure,

and it leaves scars

on any relationship.

So fuel the fire of love

with small, consistent acts of kindness.

Don’t give irritation the wheel.

Stay in the front seat.

Stay with the warmth.

And if it’s real—

let it carry you home.
