Smell of nicotine and cheap alcohol in the air

Fingers caressing her hair

Lips held together taking away all air

Bodies in motion laid bare

~

Heat flowing from every touch

Heartbeats matching with every touch

Pulse gone wild and breathe grows short

Bodies in motion all out of sorts

~

Laid together in afterglow

Soft words shared between caught up breaths

Arms wrapped in comforting care

Sleep found only late into the eve

~

Morning light blazing into my soul

Eyes fluttered open though quickly closed

Reach beside me but find only sheet

Sadness falling upon me like a weight

Eyes closed tight trying to find a dream to make it alright
