Midnight finally out of work

Drive away complaining how the boss is a jerk

Car broken down remember the rule

Stop for no one after midnight

~

But something nags so I slow down

Person worriedly pacing around car

Unsure what in this moment to do

Stop despite my better judgement

~

A woman regards me with suspicion

I bet she has the same rule as me

Never stop after midnight

But she's in a bind so she goes along

~

Try to jumpstart the car but fail quite spectacularly

Shower myself in sparks instead

Take her to go get gas

She chats me up still playing along

~

Gas doesn't fix it so push the car off to the side

Take her home finally see her start to relax

Drop her off figure I'll never see her again

Instead she writes me her number

And asks to see me again

A brief and poetic telling of how me and one of my partners first met. I hope you all enjoyed it.
