Nightmare

Falling

By Colt HendersonPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

A dark poem out of nowhere. I am doing fine.

Lost in the dark,

falling from the sky.

Eating my words,

and failing to try.

I can't find a heartbeat,

and my skin is cold.

Here my story ends,

much left untold.

I slipped below the tide,

after splashing through the waves.

Sinking to the bottom,

I got pushed through the caves.

My cold body settles,

and my soul is released.

I experience no more,

for I am deceased.

This poem came after waking up from a vivid nightmare about falling. If you or someone you know has trouble with this problem, save this number 1-800-273-8255
