Nightmare's Hand

A Dance with Freddy Krueger

Here’s a poem inspired by Freddy Krueger, capturing the essence of his terror and the nightmares he brings

In shadows deep where nightmares roam,

A tale of terror calls you home.

With laughter cold, he stalks the night,

Freddy Krueger, master of fright.

--

His fingers gleam with deadly steel,

In dreams, your fears become all too real.

A face once known, now scarred and burned,

Each whispered name, a lesson learned.

--

In slumber’s realm, where darkness reigns,

He haunts your mind, he grips your veins.

The lullabies that twist and churn,

As flickering lights begin to burn.

--

“Come closer now, don’t try to flee,

In this dark game, you’re part of me.”

A flick of his wrist, the silence breaks,

With every scream, your spirit shakes.

--

The dreams you weave, the horrors found,

In his domain, your heart is bound.

A twisted dance of fate and dread,

Where sleep seems sweet, but hope is dead.

--

So close your eyes, and hold your breath,

For in your dreams, he brings you death.

In the night, when shadows play,

Freddy Krueger will have his way.

Nothing is creepier than a man named Freddy.

(The dreams you weave, the horrors found, In his domain, your heart is bound) this line got me, he owns us whenever we are afraid. And what made it even more scary was that you added the photo then further down, described his face and it was terrifying for him to pop up in my mind more than once. Very well done.
