Grey puffs surround

A shinning silver ornament

This shiny piece represents the

Brightest coin in the sky

Dark pockets peak through clouds

Figures of a child

Who is being pushed onward

Reluctant youth going to

School with fear and excitement

Looming in the heart

Wind blows a new scene

Young teen being twirled

Whisked across the sky

Lighted up by the moon

Moving up into the scene

A tiny bundle being held

Outstretched hand holding up

Brightness surrounds like halo

It’s a family’s hope and joy

Then a gust happens

And a bed appears

At the edge is light and darkness

It’s like a door opened

An invitation to the end

Is extended

Off to the bright future

This cloud will go

vintage

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
