Night Storms

Distant thunder rumbles

Lightning flashes across the dark sky

As the cool night air settles

Like a blanket over the stillness

And wraps me in the quiet

It whispers "what's your hurry?

Sit a while with me."

So maybe I'll stay just awhile

On a stormy night.

Ahh, this one’s like a deep exhale after a long day. The kind of night that makes you feel time slow down. 💖
