as if within you rests the answer.

Before you take one breath of fresh air,

you’re already suffocated.

But is that a bad thing?

Not having room to inhale or exhale

can be a blessing

when a toxic world will do anything

to destroy something so precious.

Stay submerged in innocence —

freedom is fleeting.

And know:

every moment of pain

makes us all long to return to the start.

Develop, don’t change.

Grow up,

but stay the baby.

You’ll never hold the weight of the world

— only the life you choose for yourself —

and sometimes,

that can feel all too similar.
