In a sudden gaze

I found you

standing on your own convictions

for once

and finally.

you were humming your own tune

a tale as young

and new

as the leaf you just turned.

You were dancing

to your own beat

not a marching paso

but a fluid contemporary

embracing shades of emotion

both light and dark

accepting the existence of them

and I wept at the sight of you.

The most beautiful second chances

truly

are those we gift ourselves.

Dear Ellie - I admire your 'Chutzpa' in giving that 'Top' lady what's for..! In your charming fashion. I've never written on Medium: As you may remember, I'm not a writer at all, as you are - Just a silly storyteller with my goofy sketches that lead into them. But, I started to tell this person of interest primarily what you said; so thanks for doing it for us: If you're counting pennies in order to enjoy what it is that you do; who needs that! Good for you..! Jay Kantor, Chatsworth, California 'Senior' Vocal Author - Vocal Village Community -
