Aggression has been replaced by kindness

Of speaking figuratively, without displaying

The face of the beast

Hidden in all of us

With sharp claws, teeth, and gestures

Rejecting the ordinary humane behaviour

But it’s different here

On the road lined with pink roses

Even if the smell is wrong

People’s faces don’t show it

Sometimes they stick their butts out

In the middle of the sidewalk

Always apologising appropriately

With ‘Oi’, ‘Oh’, ‘Ah', ‘Ai’

As if nothing ever went wrong

In the literal meaning of these words

Only occasionally

People with different affairs on different days

Try to instigate a change

In the immediate surroundings

Influencing others

With an overbearing lifestyle

Full of the smell of paint in the mouth

And a rusty skill

Of filling the air

With the right solutions in the right time
