New Found Friends
And Haircuts

Valias was a black nosed sheep
who couldn't grow her horns
The hollow parts let out the heat
so, she wore a hat to keep her warm
*
She stood out in the meadow
catching snowflakes on her tongue
Playing with Al, the armadillo
building snowmen, having fun
*
One day while on the playground
a ram named Wally, snatched her cap
He knocked her to the ground
onto Hermie, a hermit crab
*
Hermie the hermit, cried for help
he pinched and kicked his feet
This made Valais scream and yelp
creating quite a scene
*
When she and Hermie both got up
they gave Wally quite the glare
But he pretended to be tough
and acted like he didn't care.
*
He threw the cap down at her feet
and ran away, back home
Crying out loud, down the street
hoping no-one else would know
*
But Valais knew just how he felt
and showed up at his door
She told Wally they could be friends
like they had been, before
*
The next day Valais came to school
with three wool caps to make amends
One for Wally, Hermie and little Al
that she’d made specially for friends

Goodness, that is so sweet. Well done, my friend.
Really love this children's story poem and I would share this if I still taught preschool.
Aww, Valais is the cutest! Turning drama into woolly friendship goals—so sweet and playful. Loved it!🌺
