Neurons

An acrostic

Diffused dendrites dally

Infused in intrusions and inattention

Scattered synapses fire in sync like a sinking ship in

Troubled waters, where tyrants commit treason. Mutiny on the mast of the mind.

Rudders redress, shudder to a stop.

Attempts to amend,

Commended cortex, rewarded for repeating the same cycles.

Inside, chained to the familiar footsteps

Of well-trodden roads.

Neurons kneel in submission, slave to novelty, the frivolity of the frenzied brain.
