Nessie

A lonely plesiosaur

By Mark Stigers Published about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

People ask do I exist

As in the depths I hide

Yet the tales persist

That through the shadows I glide

I am searched for by sonar sets

A thousand cameras look for me

I’m the myth they can’t forget

A legend they hope to see

It is said a long neck I got

So I can chase my prey

For me proof is sought

To back up what they say

Many insist that they have seen me

With photos that entertain

You cannot believe everything you see

They dream of endless fame

Bring your camera if you come

to document the facts you know

If you glimpse me in the sun

A picture you’ll proudly show

sad poetry
