The Kraken

A sea monster

By Mark Stigers Published about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

When wooden ship sailed the sea,

I would attack the foolish vessel.

From the depths my great eyes could see,

and with those ships I would wrestle.

From the riggings I would pluck the men,

and chomp them in my massive beak.

In a situation that was so grim,

I wonder how many men I can eat?

With my tentacles strong,

the ships apart I would rip.

It would not take long,

before beneath the sea it would slip.

The men could not fight,

such a destructive force.

I was a horrid sight.

I am a legend’s source.

So if you hear a nasty tale,

that takes place in the sea you seek.

Just make sure before you sail,

you pray to the gods your soul to keep.
