A RubyRed Original Poem

jittery expectations

rushed excuses

something PLEASE

to stop the endless anticipation

...

there will be trust in the heart

and calm in the mind or soul

but there is too much to decide in the single given moment

if only pleas would soar higher than the crimson

and our burning skies could crumble on cue with our river-shining tears

...

the molten mass of nonsense

should silence battle cries of change

but resilience burns longer

before ultimately the anxious villain

and doomed pathways

will crossbow through our hearts to swallow the peace of our soul

leaving pieces of memories sharp and swollen
